SHAK's Early Music Youth Academy plays a one-hour concert of music from Renaissance France. Nine skilled students aged 12-15 play the pleasing melodies and beautifully lilting harmonies of this era's dance music and polyphony on lute, harp, recorder, violins, and bass and tenor viola da gamba. The ensemble is led from the violin by director Shulamit Kleinerman.
