Historical Fencing

Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave N
Ages 8-11: 4:30-5:25
Ages 11-15: 5:30-6:30*

Recorder from the Ground Up
Discover the recorder as a real musical instrument, making a sweet and rewarding sound right from the beginning! Multi-instrumentalist teacher and SHAK alum Nick Chrisman uses SHAK's own Recorder from the Ground Up curriculum by Miyo Aoki, giving students access to delightful, engaging music that's stood the test of time.
Each student will play on a Peripole Halo Soprano recorder. These affordable recorders have a particularly sweet and mellow tone that makes group instruction more successful. The instruments will be provided at the first class to use and practice with for the whole five weeks, with the option to reimburse us and keep it at the end if you want.

Location:
Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, 10005 32nd Ave NE
