Historical Fencing
Classes in traditional French foil with Maître d'Armes Cecil Longino have become a favorite part of the academic year at SHAK! Discover the thrill of action and the dignity of etiquette and posture that are encoded in this noble art.

All participants will develop the elegant foundations of classical French fencing, and returning students will delve into more complex fencing actions. Please wear comfortable long-sleeved shirts and pants, with closed-toe shoes. Equipment is provided by the instructor.
Medieval Gothic Calligraphy (mini-series)
Learn to use real calligraphy dip pens and liquid ink in this class! We'll study the beautiful letter shapes created by medieval scribes and make them ourselves with instructor and SHAK founder/director Shulamit Kleinerman.
Our calligraphy classes were SHAK's most popular online offering during the pandemic! These students had taken two 6-class series.
